I’m sure many fans are really excited for this coming season. I know that this offseason is only going to get crazier as it goes on. Obviously, all of the NFL teams want to go to the super bowl. But who is the hungriest? I believe I know the answer…the Denver Broncos. Peyton Manning has now been shut down two years in a row and he has been so close to tasting victory. The year the Ravens won the super bowl the Broncos blew Peyton’s chances as the safety let up the fluke touchdown that gave the Ravens their Super Bowl appearance. This past year Peyton actually made it to the Super Bowl only to be shut down by the Seattle Seahawks. What a letdown he and the Broncos must feel?! To come so close two times in a row and it have it amount to nothing. This year is Denver’s year.
However, will Peyton and the Broncos have all they need to get there? With Eric Decker traded to the Jets, that won’t help. Although they still have Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Wes Welker in their receiving core. So that will be a huge help to the Broncos and they have all the pieces to win it. They could use a better defense though. If their defense gets better watch out NFL! I’m sure they know this and doing what they need to do to get a better defense. They for sure have the best offense in the league, that is not a question. An offense that not only is amazing, but really hungry.
Peyton knows he cannot do it all himself though. He knows he needs his teammates to come out big. We know Denver will go to the playoffs but how far will they go? Will they meet the Seattle Seahawks again? I know they certainly do not want to play them again anytime soon, especially if Percy Harvin is healthy. Currently speaking, could they beat the Seahawks if they played again? I do not believe so. We might see some similar things, such as Harvin torching them again. I do believe they can work together and let that hunger fester and get better as a team. If they work their butts off they can be the best team in the NFL. But they have to want it and I do not know if all of the team and staff want it like Peyton does. Even Michael Jordan had to rely on his teammates and make them better. The Broncos have to take a similar motto if they want to see those results.
